Levy Information
Thank You for Your Support
Thank you to everyone who participated in the August 4, 2026 election and took the time to learn about Skagit County Fire District 8's levy lid lift.
We appreciate every resident who attended community meetings, asked questions, and reviewed information about the measure. Community engagement is an important part of maintaining the public's trust.
With voter approval, the district will restore its fire levy to the voter-approved rate, helping address levy erosion and keeping pace with rising costs while continuing to provide the reliable fire protection and emergency medical services our community depends on.
What's Next
The restored levy will support the district's long-term financial plan by helping maintain emergency response, reduce reliance on contracted coverage, replace aging emergency apparatus and meet the needs of our growing community.
As these voter-approved funds are put to work, the district remains committed to being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars through careful financial management, transparency and accountability.
Stay Connected
Our commitment to keeping the community informed continues. We encourage residents to stay engaged by attending Board of Fire Commissioners meetings, asking questions and following district updates online.
Thank you again for your confidence in Skagit County Fire District 8 and for supporting the fire and emergency medical services that protect our community every day.
